Our Mission Is To Provide Affordable Quality Jewelry

  • What Is Moissanite?

It all began more than 120 years ago, when Nobel Prize winning chemist Dr. Henri Moissan discovered moissanite (silicon carbide) in a meteorite crater. Dr. Moissan and countless other researchers resolved to find a way that science could reproduce this remarkable yet extremely rare mineral, which held such promise.

Fast forward a century. After years of experimentation, a patented process for creating pure silicon carbide (SiC)  is created. A long-sought-after breakthrough has happened, which made it possible to bring to the market a new brilliant gemstone

Moissanite's hardness rivaled that of any mineral on Earth, and its refractive properties exceeded that of diamond. Here was a new type of gemstone, and Charles & Colvard created a beautiful product free of environmental and ethical issues, which continues to disrupt the traditional definition of fine jewellery.

  • Moissanite VS. Diamonds

How do Moissanite and Diamond compare? Both are natural occuring minerals evolving under heat and pressure in the earth's core.  Both gemstones can now be lab created for a conflict free footprint. Moissanite gemstones are sometimes tagged as diamond simulants, but we regard them as a diamond alternatives, and here’s why:

Moissanite is completely different in comparison to a diamond simulant like Cubic Zirconia,  CZ stones are not durable, they are a porous stone that will scratch , change colour, chip and cloud.  Moissanite gemstones are the second hardest gemstone used in jewellery making today, it's durable for everyday wear, high clarity, ideals cuts and preferred colour grades.  DEF Colourless and GHI Near Colourless. Moissanites are guaranteed to maintain their brilliance for a lifetime. Moissanite is widely recognized as an excellent diamond alternative gemstone, it has been used in the jewellery market for well over ten years. It has gained more popularity among millennials and diamond alternative brides over the last 5 years, and continue to be deemed the number one diamond alternative chosen by our brides.

Moissanite gemstones are superior to diamond by way of refraction. Revealing an even more appealing sparkle factor. Moissanite are also more affordable than diamonds, allowing one to create an out of world piece of jewelry without an out of this world budget!
